To the American Muslim community, Imam Jamil Al-Amin (H Rap Brown) is either an individual whose name is grossly unfamiliar, or it is the name of a man so respected, that it remains on the tongues, in the hearts, and on the minds of those familiar with his activist legacy and unjust imprisonment. This polarizing dichotomy between American Muslims, those who are familiar with Imam Jamil and those who are not, represents the generational, cultural and political spectrum within the community.
