Kamilah is the Director of Community Health Compass, a health advocate training program focused on Black and Latinx Muslim communities, and also serves as a Consultant for the Race Matters Institute, providing technical assistance that enables organizations to be more intentional in advancing racially equitable outcomes in both operations and programming. Kamilah holds an MPH from Morehouse School of Medicine and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and has been passionately advocating at the intersections of health and justice for more than a decade. Since 2009, Kamilah has criss-crossed the United States and travelled internationally as a performer, writer and workshop facilitator for the Hijabi Monologues, bringing her Detroit-bred, Atlanta-raised Black Muslim woman sensibilities to audiences far and wide.
