Abubakar ‘Bakri’ Moaz (@bakri.moazz) was born in 1993 in Khartoum, Sudan and graduated in 2022 with a BA in painting from Sudan University College Of Fine And Applied Art. His work explores themes of spirituality, truth and nature and is very much inspired by his home near the Blue Nile.
A co-founder of Zan Arts Studio, Bakri is playing a key role in Sudan’s emerging fine arts movement. His vibrant textured paintings have been exhibited in many countries and are in private collections around the world. Following the recent events in Sudan, Bakri now resides in Nairobi – Kenya where he continues to create.
