Reflection on Juz’ 20 by Najla Abdul-Malik

Ya’Rabbi
Make this Ramadan
One that will touch us to the core of our souls Causing us to take flight unto You
You are the object of our being Each breath we take
Each heartbeat
A melodic cadence Delights in Your praise Ya’Rabbi

BELOVED RAMADAN

Beloved Ramadan

We await your arrival

Never too soon

Never too late

Your sanctity graces the universe of our souls

Purifying, Cleansing, Enlightening, Renewing

We are not worthy of your Majestic Splendor

Yet we pray for another chance

To knock at the door of Repentance

Seeking mercy

Seeking guidance

Ya’Rabbi

Please guide us unto Your presence

Humbled, in full submission

Teach us the way of remembrance

Teach us the way of annihilation

You are the only REALITY

You created us for Your

pleasure Bow our will to Your

will

For Your will is the only will

In the Dominion

Subhan’Allah

Al’Hamdulillah Allahu’Akbar!!!

Ya’Rabbi

We have lost our way

We have stumbled and fell

Please guide us to sound knowledge that will cause us to be upright

Ya’Rabbi

Make this Ramadan

One that will touch us to the core of our souls

Causing us to take flight unto You

You are the object of our being

Each breath we take

Each heartbeat

A melodic cadence

Delights in Your

praise  Ya’Rabbi

Please guide us Your Ummah

The Ummah of Muhammad (saws)

To success

We seek Your pleasure

We seek Your forgiveness

Ya’Rabbi

Make the night prayer our companion,

Make it easy for us

Purify us and make us whole

Ya’Rabbi

We Welcome Your Beloved Ramadan

With open hearts

With open minds

Make our Ummah successful

In this life and the next life

We thank you Allah

For blessing us with excellence in Religion

We thank you Allah

For blessing us with loftiness of Worship

We thank you Allah for BELOVED RAMADAN

Amin
