Sheikh Kafani Ibrahim Hassan Cisse has been a khateeb, instructor and mentor at various masajid, including Flint, Ann Arbor, and Detroit, Mich.; and Akron, OH. He is an instructor for Saturday Youth taleem and Sunday adult taleem at the Muslim Center Mosque and Community Center in Detroit. Sheikh Kafani has provided scholarly discourses examining the Ruhul Adab and other classic texts by Sheikh Al-Hajji Ibrahim Abd’Allah Niasse for a teleconference course, blog talk radio programming and speaking engagements for various religious and secular organizations. In addition to writing and lectures, Sheikh Kafani writes poetry and prose to encourage critical thinking and the soul’s illumination. His knowledge of West African esoteric practice is a comprehensive one grounded in experiential learning and years of independent study.
