  • Al hamdu lillaah. We are, indeed, a people who have been blessed with resilience.
    My mind and heart reflect on the struggle that many who came before us had to endure–those who were enslaved and struggled to maintain a language, culture, and identity that was systematically erased.

    I reflect on those who struggle now, in lands of oppression and imprisonment.

    And I think deeply about those of us whose minds are still in shackles, who have no conscious knowedge of the Creator, our history, or the Self.

    We must hold fast gratefully.

    Thank you for the reminder to give thanks and to keep striving.
